MORE for Moo Story

Our association, MORE for Moo—More Opportunities for Real Employment—was born from a shared passion for advocating for the rights of people with disabilities, particularly their right to fair, award wages. A group of dedicated individuals, each with their own connection to the disability community, came together with a vision to create more than just jobs—they wanted to build a space where people with disabilities could thrive, contribute meaningfully, and be valued for their talents.

The group was presented with an opportunity to acquire Gabbie’s Dog Treats, a small but beloved business. They saw the potential to transform it into a thriving enterprise run by and for people with disabilities.

From production to packaging, marketing to sales, every aspect of the business is now managed by employees with disabilities. This model not only ensures fair wages but also provides opportunities for skill development, confidence building, and a deep sense of pride in their work.

Jodi’s Story

As a mum of 4 children - 3 with disabilities - I know only too well what a challenging yet rewarding job this is. I can’t do it alone and I rely on the encouragement, support and practical help of a big network of people, including the NDIS service providers who support my family.

The NDIS has been life-changing for my family. We have access to support that has made everyday life a bit easier and taken the stress out of trying to access all the activities and appointments we need.

Last year, for the first time ever, my family was able to go on holiday together and make memories. That was a big deal for us.

What started out as a simple goal of making sure my family was happy, healthy and thriving has become so much more. Once I knew how the NDIS worked - and saw the positive impact it had on my family - I wanted to share that with the world. That’s why I started Supporting Moo and why I come to work each day.

It has grown to something bigger than I ever dreamed and I’m so proud that my team can take the overwhelm and stress out of the NDIS for so many families.

I want every family to experience the relief, joy and hope that comes with finding the right support for your family.
